Wednesday practices:
May 1st, 8th, 15th, 29th, June 5th
4:40 pm - 5:00 pm…. Ice Explorers, Snowplow Sam
Thursday practices:
May 2nd, 9th, 16th, 30th, June 6th
4:30-5:00 pm…. Basic 1 & 2, Basic 3 & 4, Basic 5 & 6
Saturday practices:
May 4th, 11th, 18th, June 1st, June 8th
10:30 - 11:00 am…. Ice Dudes, Teen & Adult
11:00 - 11:40 am…. ASPIRE Gold, Silver and Bronze
Friday, June 7th
7:00-9:00pm Dress Rehearsal *Mandatory for ALL skaters
Saturday, June 8th
1:30pm Ice Show *Skaters must be in their assigned locker room by 1:00pm.
7:00pm Ice Show *Skaters must be in their assigned locker room by 6:30pm
2024 Ice Show Important Dates:
2/24 - 3/2: Early Bird Registration
4/15: Â Monday - All Ice Show registrations and fees are due by 12pm
All group measurements and music selections are due
4/26: Featured Skater and Solo Tryouts
5/1: Wednesday - Ice Explorers, Snowplow Sam rehearsals begin
5/2: Thursday - Basic Skills rehearsals begin
5/4: Saturday - ASPIRE, Teen/Adult and Ice Dudes rehearsals begin
6/7: Friday - Mandatory Dress Rehearsal
6/8: Saturday - Ice Show

All Ice Show rehearsals, practices and dress rehearsals are CLOSED to parents and spectators.
Group Registration and fees -
- The registration fee includes skater’s costume, coaching, choreography, five practices, one dress rehearsal and ice-time.
- Costumes are made to fit standard sizes; minimal alterations may be needed to compliment your skater. Once costumes are ordered, no refunds or exchanges will be given.
- Registration forms, costume measurements and payment are due on or before Monday, April 15th. Costume orders will not be processed until forms are completed and the fees are paid.
- All skaters must attend at least 3 of the 5 group rehearsals. Notify the Program Director should you have a conflict of any kind.
- Groups may be combined depending on registration numbers.
- All skaters will perform in both the 1:30pm and 7:00pm show.Â
- Tickets to the show are not included in registration fees and must be purchased prior to the show.
Soloist + Duet Registration and fees -
- All featured skater, solo and duet performer registrations also include registration for their appropriate group number. Performers must pay a $15 fee for tryouts on 4/26
- Group registration is already included in soloist fees.
- If a featured skater or soloist is unable to participate in their group number, they may choose to opt out of the group number and no refunds or partial refunds will be given.
- Complimentary videos of the show are included with registration.
- All skaters will perform in both the 1:30pm and 7:00pm show.Â
Dress Rehearsal
Dress Rehearsal is mandatory for all skaters. Promptness is crucial for a smooth run-through. Allow enough time to put on costumes and skates. The finale will be rehearsed first so all skaters may stay and watch the show after performing their number. Parents and spectators are not permitted to watch the rehearsal.
Costumes + Measurements
On Monday, April 15th all skaters’ measurements are due. Parents may measure their skaters and send measurements via email or on the registration form or your skater may be measured by the Program Director at the rink prior to April 15th. Female skater tights are not included. If you need help finding where to purchase tights, please contact the Program Director or ask your coach. Costumes for featured skaters, solos, duets and trios are not included in the registration fees.
Music
Skaters who have qualified for duets, trios, solos or featured skater slots will be provided with their music selection cut. Music duration should not exceed 2 minutes for soloists, 1:30max for duets and 1:10max for Featured Skaters.
Music must be approved by the Program Director in advance and will be reserved on a first come first served basis.
Featured Skaters/Solos/Duets
Featured Skaters and Solos must try out and be approved for their slots in advance. There is a $15 fee for tryouts.The date for tryouts is April 26th, 2023 4:40-5:40pm. Featured skaters are given up to 1:10sec and Soloists are given up to 2:30sec. If you would like to participate but do not have a private coach, let the Program Director know and they can connect you with someone for your skater to work with to choreograph the performance. Private coaching fees are not included in ice show registration.
Volunteers
All performances need your help in making this show the absolute best. Consider volunteering. Your help is greatly appreciated by the Chicago Edge Skating Academy staff. If you are volunteering in locker rooms you must complete Safesport testing and submit information for background checks. Please contact Ritsa Gariti for further information ritsagariti@gmail.com
Pricing
All skaters that sign up will be charged an additional $100 fee upfront that will be refunded once skaters are confirmed to have registered for Spring 1 and 2 Learn to Skate classes.Â
Prices WITHOUT the Learn to Skate fee:
Ice Explorers / Snowplow Sam groups:Â
$150 for registration + $100 for 5 tickets($20 each) = $250
Basic Skills, Freeskate, Teen/Adult, Ice Dudes and Aspire levels:
$265 for registration
Basic Skills, Freeskate, Teen/Adult, Ice Dudes and Aspire levels WITH SOLOS/DUETS:
$265 for registration + $15 tryout fee = $280
